McAfee Software Division - Retail
Reports to:  Tracy Hulver, Manager of MSD Product Management 

The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and driving  the anti-virus and security retail products of the McAfee Software Division. The PM will be responsible for not only defining the short and long-term product strategies for this product line, but performing the execution as well.  
Qualifications:
Requires BA/BS in Marketing or Engineering with five years product management experience.  Must have a minimum of three years experience with a proven track record of retail software product management.  Must be capable of developing proactive product plans and have some familiarity of the distribution and retail channel as well as a good technical grasp of Windows 95/98/NT operating environment.  Ability to independently set product strategies and achieve results in a fast paced, complex, cross-functional, deadline-driven environment required.  Candidate must posses excellent written and oral communication skills, leadership ability, and ability to successfully juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Starfield Consulting (and therefore Dolf) has a new client. This client is an exciting startup in the business to business Internet space. The company is being funded through garage.com and venture capital firms. It expects to open offices in or around Mountain View 
in the month of June. Profitability (a rare thing for Internet companies these days) is projected for the end of 2000!

I am currently acting as CTO/VP Engineering for this firm and as such I am looking for several people. There will be job openings for the following kinds of people (initially):

        Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CGI required.
        ASP, NetObjects a plus.
        Experience interfacing Web sites with databases a plus
        UI design experience required
